In this interpretation of two classic monsters, I reworked one of my older paintings and used the original “American Gothic” characters as templates to build this “Couple” of horror portrait. Initially, I was going to pair the Frankenstein Monster with the Mummy character but attempts at doing so… were awful! I then decided on the Bride of Frankenstein instead, this proved to be the right choice since it better reflects Grant Woods original work.
