While Denny and Robin wait for their pizzas, Robin eagerly opens the present Denny had given her. Robin removes the ribbon without untying or cutting it. Tearing the wrapping paper off, she delights in the fact that her guess of a “Denny Box” was correct… but the real treasure lies within. Robin removes the lid of the Sunflower Box and finds a jigsaw Puzzle (a favorite of hers). She quickly begins assembling the 17-piece brainteaser. Before half of the puzzle is complete, Robin becomes excited and starts squealing like a small child. Denny insists that she does not respond until after the puzzle is complete. As she puts the past piece in place, Robin looks at Denny and says, “Yes!”

Denny and Robin packed up the Subaru Forester and headed over the mountains to the Olympic peninsula. Making stops along the way, they visited Deception falls, took a ferry ride across Puget Sound, Explored Hurricane Ridge, discovered the wonders of Webster Woods Art Park, and frolicked along Ruby Beach on their way to Quinault Rainforest. The two lovebird travelers explored the giants of the forest. Some of those ancient cedars were well over 300 feet tall and many had inhabited the land for over a thousand years.

All this time some precious cargo has been traveling in the car with them. A mysterious box, wrapped in red craft paper and tied with half inch wide white ribbon. Denny presented Robin with this present a few days earlier but insisted she wait till they return to open it. So, the package traveled with them to the Olympic Peninsula and back. To play along with the importance of the gift’s contents, Robin had it Sitting in the back seat of the car on the passenger side secured in its own seatbelt.

Upon their return, and on the 2-month anniversary of the day they met, Denny and Robin go out to dinner to celebrate. Robin takes Denny to anItalian restaurant called Fat Olives. The pizzeria has a gluten free friendly menua Robin necessity.

Each time their server comes by, he looks at the red paper package with great interest. “I see something intriguing,” he says with a smirk, a gleam, and one eyebrow raised.
