This painting is a reimagining of the classic Beatles album cover for their 6th studio LP, Rubber Soul. Dual Monochromatic palettes of Yellow + black and white, and Orange + black and white. These palettes created an array of Greens, Browns, and Greys. After following the blueprint of the original album’s composition, a more varied application of greens gave the background a more dynamic, lush, and contrasted feel. A similar treatment was used on the brown and grey circular shapes. The touch (after much calculation), that brought it all together, was the spot color rings of Grasshopper Green.
