The initial concept with this piece was to create curved motion lines, like the parting of the waves, or branches being pulled back as one trapses through the jungle in search of whatever they might find. The pyramid was inserted to contrast the curved lines with angular misdirection. A jeweled orb was added to crown the triangular deity. A sight to behold, to revere, to worship. While listening to a certain song (music usually plays while I work), the singer listed examples of true heroes: those that cure, save, and solve; and false ones: actors, athletes, and glamour gals. This made me think, there is a difference between a hero and an idol – One we admire, and one we worship.
