 This dual monochromatic work was created with palettes of Red + Black and White, and Yellow + Black and White with a spot color of Orange. Besides the whimsical subject matter and title, the focus of this piece is the geometric, abstract patterning creating depth and movement in the girl’s play-dress. The intricate design was created with brushed acrylic paint and acrylic paint pens (rendered with a straight edge). A dramatic night sky of purples and lavenders was achieved by mixing and experimenting with the Red, Black, and White combination.
