The initial idea for this piece was to be simplistic, stark, and planal. The further I got into the project however, details were added, and changes were made. The title itself didn’t come to me until several weeks after the completion of the painting when the piece was being photographed. At that point I realized it didn’t have a title and one was needed for the digital file (as well as this Art Statement). The steps I took to create this piece of work were out of the ordinary… or were they?
