One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Inspired by Dr. Seuss, at least in title, I designed a visual sing-along with reason and rhyme. The directional layout of the fish chasing one another echoes the playful essence of a Seuss-inspired narrative. To create the large curves of these colorfully numbered fish, I utilized an oval, stoneware serving dish from the kitchen. I frequently discover unique shapes stored in the cupboards, reminiscent of the Doctor's resourceful approach. The curved and straight lines of this piece, were rendered with acrylic paint pens, straight edges, circle templates, and that serving dish. Now let's count off... One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
