Panacea, by definition, is the cure for everything. When it comes to inclement weather, an umbrella can be a panacea.
With this piece I painted a lavender under color to lay the multi-color, wallpaper lines of rain over (usually it’s a dark teal under color). I also used an interlocking line pattern on the canopy of the umbrella along with blue-green shapes to give the bumbershoot a sense of transparency and cold wetness.
