My interpreted, geometric faces have a primitive, mask-like quality. The use of shapes and color on this reimagined design of Madonna’s 7th album cover conveys that concept. The thin, white linework on the hair and face, created with an acrylic paint pen and curved templates, depicts the movement of wind and sun. I painted the brow and bridge of her face to reflect the Ray of Light in the lower right of the layout.
