With the reimagining of Madonna’s 3rd album cover, I painted the facial skin tones darker than the original so the light blue and white linework would pop. While looking at this album cover, my first thought was to use my wallpaper-like line pattern treatment for her flowing platinum hair. Then as I got into the drawing process, my focus was on the curves. I used as many of these twists and turns as possible to accentuate the sensuality of the pose, and yet keep it True Blue.
