This Asymmetrical Symmetry work uses a monochromatic palette of Orange + black and white. The painting was created as a mix and match companion piece for figurative works of similar palette and pattern. In creating the initial diagram for the painting, I drew a double curve in the lower portion of the composition to serve as the focal point. When I extended the curve into the upper section (left and right) with twin planes forming a “U” shape, a Universal title came to mind.
