With Loud Clatter and Darkened Chatter

Such Nightmarish Frights

 

One Late Winter’s Night

A Zephyr Came Calling

Then it Changed, Ev’rything Rearranged

A Gale Now Squalling

 

All the While

The Wind Chimes Were Ringing

With All the Force

Mother Earth Was Bringing

 

Large Trees Were Toppled

House Shingles Set Sail

Windows Shattered Torn and Tattered

All Over the Dale

 

All the While

The Willows Were Weeping

For All the Time

Father Sky Was Keeping

 

A Blue Spruce Near Miss

A Large Windowpane

A Tree Uprooted, Barn Owl Hooted

Old Mother Nature’s Bane

 

All the While
