Wind Chimes and Willow

With this square composition, I started out by creating circles in a single line on a loose, geometric grid. After rendering of a string of four or five circles, I added a few more on either side for balance. Adhering to the grid, I continued adding circles until the grouping resembled a chandelier. In conjunction with the circles, I incorporated diamonds to introduce visual variety. Initially, I considered entitling the work "Wind Chimes and Weather," but after applying an earthy palette of acrylic paint, I opted to replace "Weather" with "Willow." This substitution evoked the image of the chimes being suspended from Willow branches as they swayed in a cool, night wind.
